Our Story

Harvest Mission Community Church began in 1996 with a group of eight people and a dream: to be a 1st century church in the 21st century. As we looked into the book of Acts, God gave us the vision to be a community of faith that raises bold disciples of Christ who will transform the world.

After the first church started on the University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor, God gave us a vision to plant churches on college campuses in global cities all around the world. Churches started in Austin and Jakarta.

In 2010, a couple from HMCC of Ann Arbor (in the U.S.) started a house church with the vision of reaching out to the university students and working adults of Singapore. After a few years, this couple heard God’s call to see the house church develop into a more established church with a full time pastor. In 2015, Pastor Joe and Diana moved to Singapore to lead the church. By God's grace, we've seen Jesus Christ at work in university students, single adults, and families.

We see a great need to reach people in all life stages, especially university students who are in a pivotal time to discover their God-given destiny. We are hoping that over the years, our ministry will expand in every life stage and every university campus.

God continues to write our story and we cannot wait to see how it will unfold. One thing that we do know is that our vision will always remain the same. We desire to see people's lives transformed, redirected to God’s purposes, and set out to transform the world for the glory of God.
